Well......... To be absolutely honest.......... I don't know! :hmm: I suppose you could call it fantasy, but probably this is just the easy solution. Another good question geo is why the high health care costs in US do not offer much to its citizens. Take infant mortality, which I think is frequently used as an overall marker of population health. US lag behind Japan, Australia and all EU countries, even those that are much, much poorer than US (...

Now that I've finished the book, I can agree with Poetess. For me there were no really horrifying points. Nothing that made me leave the lights on during the night! Fortunately! I found the point where Holloway shoots and kills Jed really startling, but this is something different. The point mention...

Hello,

I'm currently at chapter 19, about 2/3 of the book, but I've read the Whalestoe letters as well.
I suffer from a kind of obsessive-compulsive approach to books, so I have to read everything, all the footnotes etc.....

Hello,

I can't recall any book that I've personally read, but a quick search came up with:

Robert A. Heinlein - Time for the Stars,

Tony Vigorito - Just a Couple of Days

Revelation Space series by Alastair Reynolds.

You might want to have a closer look.

One flew over the cuckoo's nest - Ken Kesey

One hundred years of solitude - Gabriel Garcia Marquez

War and peace - Leo Tolstoy

Le Grand Meaulnes - Alain Fournier

Jane Austen.
F.S. Fitzgerald.
Don DeLillo.

On the other hand, got through Moby Dick (ok), liked Catcher in the Rye (read it kind of old, I might have loved it earlier), Stephen King is ok (Misery very good).
