HW Assignment: Comment

“I could see every rib, the joints of their limbs were like knots in a rope; each has an iron collar on his neck, all connected with a chain being swung.” Bottom of pg. 81

How brutal can that be? Marlow appears to be very brave about what he got himself into. He’s the type who’s highly curious and adventurous. I could never imagine myself being in Marlow’s shoes having to witness such a dreadful sight like that. Omg! It’s just awful!

HW Assignment

While reading, I came across a realization that this book amounts to a great deal of suffering and darkness that surpasses my knowledge of what unimaginable pain there can actually be in the world. When Marlow witnesses the chained up slaves, he wasn't quite sure on how to react since it was something he had never seen before. As Marlow journeys through Africa, he suddenly becomes aware of his surroundings in a country that leaves him with much interest that he continues to explore it even though it bears a corrupted society.

Hi Ms. Cossick.Nice day we had today huh?well just wanted to say that the book Heart of Darkness is well really confusing right now. Just probably the small book with a lot of words. Also the other comments made by other people are funny about what they could expect from the book. :x :P.
