You say that your reviews start at $100! There are people out there who will willingly review a book as long as you provide a copy of it. Why should an author pay your price? What can he expect for the extra layout? There are pitfalls out there for the self published and I think this is one of them....

Speaking as a reader, I prefer ebooks. They're easier to get hold of - lots of free classics - are usually cheaper and, providing you check out the samples first, you can usually avoid the badly written ones. I love my Kindle and iPad - they are so much easier to take on holiday or to stick in a han...

I wouldn't advocate a regular trip to McDonalds, but for an occasional visit it's ok. After the scandal of the horse meat in supermarket burgers, I don't think anywhere's particularly ideal for buying processed food. Reading the label doesn't help - the only way to know you and your kids are getting...

Best combination too. Add a few children, a few more grandchildren a husband and a couple of cats, an overly full bookcase and a bit of a weird sense of - well everything really, and that just about sums me up!
