When considering the ethics of brains scan for lie detection, Gazzaniga focused on defendants in court cases. However, a separate question is what corporations could do. For example, a company could require potential employees to answer questions about their history, and a brain scan could determine whether the answers are truthful. That's just a high-tech version of the personality tests that many employee prospects currently take.
