Has anyone else read Ruth Downie's Medicus series?

The series features a Roman doctor (Ruso) stationed in the boondocks of the Roman Empire (modern Britain). He employs his forestic skills and keen mind to (reluctantly) solve mysteries. Along the way, he rescues a native slave girl (Tila) and strives to nurse her back to health.

I won't spoil the fun by adding any more detail, but if you like historical fiction, mysteries, or--like me--both, you're in for a treat! There are now five novels in the series, and I can't wait for number six to arrive.
