I hate introductions.
Hi, my name is Cj. (Hi, Cj)
I'm a girl-if not pirategirl as my user name would be weird.
I live on the coast of North Carolina.
My hobbies are reading, going to the beach, and reading at the beach.
I like all kinds of books. Well, except like Harlequin romance type books.
Although I read all kinds of books, my favorite author is Stephen King. I'm sure even his grocery list is spooky.
I just started a blog to discuss reading and books, not anything as grand as this website.
I came here to hang out with people who like to read and talk about books.

Re: Hello fellow booklovers-pirategirl
Hi pirategirl and welcome to Book Talk. I have read many of King's books myself. My personal favorite is "The Stand." What is yours?? Do you live anywhere near Cape Fear? As a teenager I read Robert Ruark's "The Old Mand and the Boy" which was set in that locale. Enjoyed it. FYI, I live in east Texas, about an hour's drive southeast of Dallas.

That sir, is a very hard question! I LOVE Salem's Lot. I LOVE Duma Key. I have yet to find one I didn't love, just to varying degrees. I am about 4 hours from Cape Fear, about 30 min from the Outer Banks.
Thank you for the welcome!

Re: Hello fellow booklovers-pirategirl
Thank you Victoria. My blog is brand-spanking new. I loved yours, me being a southern girl and all, I could relate. I had decided to try yoga and bought my first DVD, next day I broke my foot. It also nice to hear someone, under the age of 90, talk about tatting. I am a horrible knitter and tatter, but I love it so who cares?

You don't have to be great at something to do it! In fact, it you were perfect at whatever it was..we'll say knitting or tatting...then it might become boring. Please send me the link to your blog. I tried to find it on my own, but I kept getting sent to my email box. Pesky computers! I'm glad you enjoyed my blog. Mostly, I write about whatever is randomly on my mind or whatever hilarious comment I've picked up at work. Also, feel free to join the conversation on my blog! I'm always looking for someone to share a laugh with.
