One of the things that really clicked for me in these early parts was the fake cure for the Z germ. A fraud marketed to the masses, swallowed by everybody without any critical examination, and as a result the united states sat flat footed and fooled, once again, into buying crap instead of taking care of problems.

And yet, drugs, proven to be effective are created, but are not passed by governments and the public is not getting the benefits of them.

We have probably had the cure for some major diseases all along, but are held back from taking it.
