I was interested to read in Evolutionary Psychology that ‘Analyses of Shakespeare’s plays have revealed that his handling of both the size and connectedness of the community on stage mirrors very closely the size of typical human groups. The practical limits seem to be set around fifteen individuals (mirroring the size of natural sympathy groups…’
Perhaps this is why some of us feel so ‘disconnected’ from the book. There are just too many characters –Bennie, Sasha, Alex, Rebecca, Christopher, La Belle, Scotty, Alice,,Jocelyn, Rhea, Rolph, Charlene, Lou, Lulu, Stephanie, Kitty Jackson, Jules Jones, Drew, Rob, Ted, Alison Blake …

I'm going to pass on this one; I tried this about a year ago for one of the Goodreads groups and it didn't do anything for me.

Other than make me question . . . why . . . why . . . why would this book be taken seriously by anyone?
