During a pandemic GDP is being negatively impacted by healthcare? How ironic is that?
Elective procedures placed on hold because of COVID 19?
Not enough patients to generate income growth?

Re: Almost HALF of GDP 1Q decline attributed to healthcare?
The link didn't work for me, but I wanted to check what seems a remarkable and unlikely statistic. Can you check on this further, ant? I wonder what "attributed" means in this context. I saw from a source that healthcare spending declined by 2.3%, but that of course wouldn't account for half of the 4.8% decline of GDP.ant wrote:During a pandemic GDP is being negatively impacted by healthcare? Well, maybe somebody else can try. I can't get into the document you're referring to. I cannot understand how healthcare declining 2.3% or a similar amount can cause half the drop in GDP in the first quarter.ant wrote:The link is the US Bureau of Economic Analysis Department of Commerce
