Thought my atheist friends would appreciate this.

I saw this video yesterday and found it interesting. Wolf cannot be blamed for asking the question as belief in God is common and talking about it can be second nature to those that believe. Fortunately, the atheist girl handled it well. She simply stated she was an atheist with a smile.

How awkward. Is Wolf very religious? He seemed intent on asking that question.

Interbane, that was what struck me too. It wasn't that he interjected divine help, which is unusual but not unheard of; what struck me as odd was the imperative intent he evidenced. I don't know much about Wolf, other than by reputation but he seemed to have an something in mind.

Well, after asking it generically, I think he realized how the question could be misinterpreted. "Do you thank god for this?" while standing around the wreckage of a tornado. So to save face, in his mind, he had to reiterate what he actually meant. "Do you thank god for your decision to run?" That reiteration was what made him seem intentional. Then the darn kid won't let go of the mic...

i've often thought the problem with "thank god it's friday" is it's reciprocal, "curse god it's monday"

one problem with thanking god for surviving is that this very same god is also implicated in perishing.

just sayin' it seems an obvious problem with the judaeo-christian literalist orthodox dogma, or a non-thinkers religion as i think of it.
