Oh the irony of that article. Republicans exploit the ignorance of Americans'. That's a 'clever' explanation, not simplistic or black-n-white at all.Yes, that partially explains why stupid people vote for either party. But there are thoughtful people on both sides. What about all of them?The author fails to reflect as to the reason the Democrats fail. She just blames the stupidity of the unenlightened. This is the ironic view of a typical 18 year old-- ironic because, due the age of the person making the claim, it is often being made by someone who really doesn't have much wisdom. She is, ultimately, expressing a very simplistic (We're good and smart; they're evil and dumb) view that lacks even a modicum of introspection. It's an ignorant view-- the very thing she accuses her opponents of having.
