Re: Who is reading or plans to read this book?
I have to admit that I saw the movie, and after seeing the movie, I was a little disappointed in the storyline. Movies usually do not live up to the novels they were based on, but regardless, it made me not want to read the novel.

It's advisable to read the book before seeing the movie, though the movie is only based on the book and it's usually different and full of cinematic effects. I suppose it could be compared to watching different versions of a movie- they're all different but based on the same storyline.

Yes, I couldn't agree with you more. However, I watched the movie because I was bored (plus I like the actors in it).

I could read. I know we have it here at the library. Most people that have read it, didnt' quite like it. The structure of the book wasn't all that cracked up to be. But, I'll give it a try. It was the Time Traveler's Wife right?

Oh, that book.
It's been sitting in my massive "to be read" pile for a year or so.
The "peoples" in one of my other more serious literary clubs really dissed it something awful. The general consus there was "don't bother". Described it as "phenomenally uninteresting".
I wish I learned all that BEFORE I bought it.

Booklady,
The name of the forum is always the book title.
Look near the top of the page for the line that looks like this...
