American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer

A movie on Oppenheimer is coming out this next year.

That should be interesting. I believe there is new evidence that the retraction of Oppenheimer's security clearance was unwarranted. I listened to the following book a long time ago and one of the take-aways I recall was the scientists who were "oh so horrified" at the creation the A-Bomb => could.not. wait! <= to create the H-Bomb, which has no upper limit on power. The ultimate doomsday weapon could theoretically vaporize this planet into sub-atomic particles...
