New Novels About Adventures on the Ocean and Pacific Islands
I have recently published two novels, suitable for middle graders through adult.
The first is With Which the Waters Swarm. It is the story of a herd of North Pacific Fur Seals that are being wiped out due to overhunting during a worldwide recession. When the seals go on their annual migration (the Long Journey), they vow to have experiences that will help them fight the hunters when they return. Puffins, octopuses, whales, porpoises, and even a pair of friendly dogs team up with the seals to battle the hunters. It's exciting, and teaches lessons about morality as well as environmental concerns.
The second novel, just published in June 2018, is called The Ages of Oosig. It is the fictional story of a boy growing to manhood on islands of the Pacific. He has many adventures, such as battling a shark to retrieve his fishing bird, saving his cousin in a typhoon, and challenging a chieftain to win the woman he loves. In the end, he becomes a legend for generations to come.
Both books are available in print and e-book format on most of your favorite booksellers.
