Emotional Whirwind

Emotional Whirlwind is a poem by Kate Davis Poetry
This poem is in the book Open and Raw.

Happiness then sadness, highs and then lows. Where my emotions lie no one ever knows. They change so suddenly day by day. Most the time no one knows what to say. I wish I had all the control. But I can't help the tight grip it has on my soul. One minute then the next. Almost as if I have been hexed. Some days not feeling at all like me. Wishing the world would just let me be. Struggling daily trying to cope. While others around me slowly lose hope. No one understanding the pain inside. No one truly seeing how much I actually hide. It's my cross to bare. Mine alone. Something that can't ever be outgrown. Moments of feeling like a clone. Other times feeling like I'm in the zone. Sometimes wishing I was unknown. Wishing there was power in my own throne.
