A COMPILATION OF POEMS FOR THE TAINTED HEART

THE BEING OF ME
Remember me when the world seems cruel,
when rocks come falling and the soul wants to break through.
Remember me when smiles begin to fade
and the knife stabs hard at the back of you.
Remember all the moments you would never trade,
all its beauty and it’s soulful parade.
Don’t for one moment think this is nothing,
my heart struggled alone to open,
the things I see, I cannot explain
so I don’t attempt to find what’s left, left of me.
The girl you see lie torn between the hidden past and
the spotless future
though the heart still confides with silent whispers,
at times is too weak to truly be.
Sometimes I feel as if this world is not for me,
that my path and its time leads to a journey alone.
I think it is that,
That gives me peace…
if anyone would begin to understand how that feels they would only then
truly understand the being of me.
