The Left's Children's Crusade

Unread post

I've watched American leftists do a lot of disreputable things over the years. The way they've fouled the feminist movement is a crying shame. Such progress had been made in closing the gender gap, but now feminism has been put on hold so that dozens of new "genders" can take a seat at the bargaining table. Pitiful. Women should be truly, truly angry with the left. And I've watched the left continue their racist subjugation of blacks. Government handouts keep blacks on massah's plantation.

The list goes on and on, but the latest ploy of the left to use kids as frontline troops for gun-grabbing...that's just so foul. Barry Soetoro and George Clooney and all the other bigwig leftists have no shame. If they gave a damn about kids then they'd push to get rid of gun-free zones:

Image

Psycho killers go to places where they know they won't receive return fire. Gun-free zones were established in 1990, under president George H.W. Bush. Democrats should push for a repeal of the law he (a hated Republican) signed. But they won't do that, because the goal isn't school safety, the goal is to take your guns. Barry Soetoro and George Soros ran successful Twitter Revolutions in Egypt and Libya, and now they're going to use children to launch one here. Look at what's happened to Egypt ad Libya since the crazies have been put in charge--that's what Soetoro and Soros want for America. And they're willing to use kids to get it.

The American left has sunk beneath low on this. IMHO.

We on the left feel exactly the same way about you.

2018 / Stoneman Douglas High School / 17 Dead / Weapon: semi-automatic rifle
2017 / Sutherland Springs church / 27 Dead including shooter / Weapon semi-automatic rifle
2017/ Las Vegas Mass Shooting / 59 Dead including shooter / Weapon:semi-automatic rifles
2016 / Orlando Night Club / 50 Dead including shooter / Weapon: semi-automatic rifles
2015 / San Bernadino shootings / 16 Dead including both shooters / Weapon: handguns
2015 / Umpqua Community College Shooting / 10 Dead including shooter / Weapon: handguns
2013 / Washington Navy Yard Shooting / 13 Dead including shooter / Weapon: shotgun and handgun
2012 / Aurora, Co. Movie Theater / 12 Dead, 58 wounded by gunfire / Weapon / various guns and tear gas grenades
2012 / Sandy Hook Elementary School / 28 Dead including shooter / Weapon: semi-automatic rifle and handgun

2007, Virginia Tech 33 dead including shooter
1999, Columbine, 15 dead including shooter
We all know there are many more.

Considering the overwhelming number of shooters who wound up dead, it's ridiculous to say they would have been frightened away because they might get shot. Seems reasonable to believe they were counting on getting shot, or planned to shoot themselves.

Gun problem? What gun problem?

Gun show loophole, gun law loophole, Brady law loophole (or Brady bill loophole), private sale loophole, and private sale exemption are terms in the United States referring to sales of firearms by private sellers, including those done at gun shows, dubbed the "secondary market". The term refers to the concept that a loophole in federal law exists, under which "any person may sell a firearm to an unlicensed resident of the state where they reside, as long as they do not know or have reasonable cause to believe the person is prohibited from receiving or possessing firearms".

Under federal law, private-party sellers are not required to perform background checks on buyers; whether at a gun show or other venue. They also are not required to record the sale, or ask for identification.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_show_loophole

Known as the "gun show loophole," most states do not require background checks for firearms purchased at gun shows from private individuals -- federal law only requires licensed dealers to conduct checks.

Under the Gun Control Act of 1968, federal law clearly defined private sellers as anyone who sold no more than four firearms per year. But the 1986 Firearm Owners Protection Act lifted that restriction and loosely defined private sellers as people who do not rely on gun sales as the principal way of obtaining their livelihood.
http://www.governing.com/gov-data/safet ... s-map.html

Premise: Felons and the mentally ill can buy a gun from a private seller without a background check.
Premise: The NRA supports the right of private sellers to sell to anyone without a background check.
Conclusion: The NRA supports the right of felons and the mentally ill to buy guns from private sellers without a background check.

I think that syllogism is both valid and sound. I'm sure you can argue it, but it will remain valid and sound when all is said and done.

No one is trying to take away all guns. The Founding Fathers believed in the right to bear arms and they were a hell of a lot smarter than I am. I'm a firm supporter of the 2nd Amendment. That doesn't mean we should let criminals and crazies buy guns legally.

Gun problem? What gun problem?

As to feminism...

The Right Wing has elected a president who:

In the '90s, Trump told shock jock Howard Stern that he was lucky to not get a disease when he was sleeping around in the '80s. “I’ve been so lucky in terms of that whole world. It is a dangerous world out there. It’s scary, like Vietnam."

In an early' 90s interview with Playboy, Trump admitted that he does like to flirt from time to time, but that it doesn't mean anything. "I think any man enjoys flirtations, and if he said he didn’t, he’d be lying or he’d be a politician trying to get the extra four votes," Trump said. "I think everybody likes knowing he’s well responded to. Especially as you get into certain strata where there is an ego involved and a high level of success, it’s important. People really like the idea that other people respond well to them."
He later divorced his first wife after cheating on her with Marla Maples.

In a campaign trail interview, Trump told reporters that his past indiscretions were fair game. And you know he found a way to turn that around on to Bill Clinton, "If he's going to be out there campaigning, then it's certainly' fair game, 'and I think everybody agrees with me on that." Zing!

In a 1994 interview with Lifetimes of the Rich and Famous, Trump responded to a question about his one-year-old daughter Tiffany by saying, "She's got [her mom's] legs and we don't know whether or not she's got this part yet..." When he said "this part," he grabbed his chest. Um... huh?

While writing about prenuptial agreements in Trump: The Art of the Comeback, he listed the three types of ladies he's come across in life... at least when it comes to pre-nups:
"One is the good woman who very much loves her future husband, solely for himself, but refuses to sign the agreement on principle. I fully understand this, but the man should take a pass anyway and find someone else. The other is the calculating woman who refuses to sign the prenuptial agreement because she is expecting to take advantage of the poor, unsuspecting sucker she’s got in her grasp. There is also the woman who will openly and quickly sign a prenuptial agreement in order to make a quick hit and take the money given to her.”

According to his book, Trump: Surviving at the Top, Donald hooked up with a different woman every night during the '70s. "I had a comfortable little studio apartment in Third Avenue in the city, and I maintained a lifestyle that was fairly commonplace then but that now, in an age when people are worried about dying from sex, is hard to even imagine," he wrote. "I didn’t drink or take drugs; as far as stimulants go, I’ve yet to have my first cup of coffee. But I was out four or five nights a week, usually with a different woman each time, and I was enjoying myself immensely.”

We'll just gloss over the porn star and the $130,000.

Oh, And his Staff Secretary resigned when his wives told the world he'd beaten them. They also warned his current girlfriend to look out.

This is the man you want for President of the United States and you have the temerity to bring up feminism?

Yea for right wing family values!

When it comes to feminism, the right wing would be wise to STFU. You people are just embarrassing yourselves.

Sincerely,
A disreputable American liberal writing from beneath a new low.

Jeez. That's a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome you have there. I checked in to read some notes on The Master and Margarita, which I planned to start reading today, but forget that. You need an intervention. TDS can drive you insane if not treated properly. If time permits I'll come back tonight and administer a salve of facts. I've found that leftists sometimes respond to that course of treatment.

Hold on. Help's coming.

Please do interject some facts. Start with your post I quoted. You insult, call names, engage in ad hominem attacks and expect to slide by? Why can you go off on an ill-considered rant then object when you're refuted? Yours is the most provoking, insulting post I ever read here. At the very least, you are the pot calling the kettle black. You're right. liberals do respond to facts. Trump cultists unfortunately don't.

I wait with the proverbial bated breath for your response which I'll ignore. I've said everything I wanted to say and you have drunk the Kool Aid, rendering further facts, logic and reason useless.

Have a nice day.

These kids are the intervention, they are not being used but thanks to the likes of Clooney and Oprah Winfrey among others mentioned they are well funded.

According to the article, research is discouraged. It may be seen as partisan, I think it is fear of myth busting. The myth of the second amendment and the unfounded fear of tyranny.

Good. Saves me the trouble of responding. Also shows how Trump Derangement Syndrome cuts its victims off from the world.

So, now that I'm relieved of my promise to help a sufferer of TDS, I can turn to the subject at hand--the Left's despicable Children's Crusade.

The Left's Hollywood elite (who rake in significant profits from movies featuring gun violence) are busy donating money to help pay for upcoming protests against guns. What started out as a movement to make schools safe has turned into an attack on the U.S. Constitution's 2nd amendment. Unfortunately, young people aren't fully informed on the subject, and the people they're looking to for guidance have an anti-gun agenda.

Before going any further, I suggest the reader take seven minutes to watch the following video. It's the best I've seen about America's gun epidemic. The narrator backs up all of his points with one of the Left's favorite tools, Wikipedia. I suspect the video will really, really surprise you.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pELwCqz2JfE

America has thousands of gun laws on the books. Rather than debate yet another one at this point, schools could be made safer TOMORROW by eliminating gun-free zones. Psychos view them as kill zones (see pie chart above). Let responsible school personnel carry weapons, and potential shooters would at least have to think twice before going on their rampages. Students at the University of Texas can now carry concealed weapons, and I pity any psycho who opens fire there.

Dress codes in public schools would be a good idea. Make students wear uniforms so they can't conceal weapons as easily as they can now. And ban backpacks. We used to lug huge stacks of textbooks everywhere, and now they have lighter loads with their laptops. Do away with backpacks so that weapons can't be hidden in them.

And a review of medications would be a good idea. Most if not all of the mass-casualty shootings in the past few years were carried out by people who'd been prescribed mind-altering drugs. The drug issue needs to be addressed before we engage in a re-chewing of the gun debate. Big pharma seems to have a free hand when it comes to doping American school children. Why is that? Lobby money? Social experimentation? A plot to destroy the minds of the future? Fast-track an investigation into the med situation in American schools.

I can continue this if anyone's interested. No doubt the issue will be in the news for a while. Marxist Barry Soetoro (also known as Barack Obama) has inserted his narcissistic presence into the thing by tweeting, "We've been waiting for you. And we've got your backs." Provocation from a protégé of Bill Ayers, who advocates the violent overthrow of the American government. Obama's now pushing children to do his dirty work. And former Nazi collaborator and Democratic moneyman George Soros will be assisting the Children's Crusade with funding. Soros helped finance Obama's Twitter Revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt. They ran into a problem with the template though when they got to Libya, and Hillary Clinton was sent in to oversee the rape and murder of Kadaffi. But the template is still a proven one and now they're attempting to use it in America. I guess we'll see how that works out.

Here's a good video I ran across today. A very articulate and well-reasoned statement:

This one is ridiculous. Soros is a Hungarian Jew. Born in 1930, when asked to deliver internment notices, Soros instead warned the Jewish recipients not to comply. And there is a photo of an Auschwitz guard which anti-Soros people have claimed is Soros.

Read my Jan. 20 post about the novel "Unintended Consequences" by John Ross (1996) on the Fiction forum. This is a scenario about what gun enthusiasts might be driven to when the ATF and Federal goons try to take away their 2nd Amendment rights.

I believe that any US citizen over 21 should be able to apply and get a license to carry a weapon as long as they can pass a THOROUGH background check and demonstrate very basic firearms proficiency, especially gun safety.

Here in Texas teachers are allowed to have firearms in schools if their school district OK's it. We have about 1200 ISD's here and teacher carry is present in about 10% of them. I wish it were more.

Just remember that the 2nd Amendment is basically an insurance policy that guarantees our government will abide by the rest of the Bill Of Rights!

Is there any actual data that backs up your statement that mass shooters choose gun-free zones? I doubt that it's that simple.

Most of these mass shooters have a grudge against the place where they commit their massacres. So that's why we see shootings in the workplace, and why young misfits frequently choose schools. In almost every single case of a school shooting, the shooter was a current or former student. The only exception I can think of was the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting. But in that case, the shooter, Adam Lanza, was a pedophile who thought he was saving children by killing them. In the most recent shooting in Parkland, Florida, Nicholas Cruz had been expelled from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, where the shooting took place.

To say that mass shooters choose gun-free zones to carry out their massacres simply doesn't fit with the facts. Gun advocates want to believe that it takes a good guy with a gun to take down a bad guy with a gun, but such interventions are actually vanishingly rare, and that's with a a steady rise in concealed gun permits across the country. Indeed, an armed citizen trying to shoot an attacker in a panic-stricken movie theater or shopping mall is likely not going to go well. Gun cultists don't want to look at facts because they don't fit with their mythical narratives.

There's actually a much stronger correlation between the sharp rise in mass shootings we have seen since 2000 and the lifting of an assault weapons ban in 2004. Again, it's probably more complicated than that, but there are many common sense reasons for restricting or banning the sale of assault rifles. No one wants to take your guns away. But we can and should regulate high-powered weapons just as we already do with bazookas and bombs.

Hmm. Snopes and Soros. Snopes is too biased to be cited for...anything. It's a Leftist site. I looked at the Soros piece and I had to wonder if his PR firm wrote it. So, out of the mouth of the devil himself. In the clip below Soros says he took from Jews and felt no guilt:

mikesheedy.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/ ... ration.mp4

He was 14 when he did those things. In the clip below he says that was the happiest year of his life:

mikesheedy.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/ ... s-life.mp4

Collaborate - to cooperate with or willingly assist an enemy of one's country and especially an occupying force.

He collaborated.

I've begun backing up pertinent videos on my own server storage space. Leftists purged hundreds of accounts from Youtube over the past couple of weeks (conservative accounts, Christian & pro-constitution accounts), so the Left's "cultural revolution" has begun in America. I'm sure that Mr. Soros would like these videos gone, and what Mr. Soros wants, the Left will grant.

What else?

Yes, Texas has the model plan for guns on school grounds. An article about that:

politico.com/story/2018/02/24/armed-tea ... ump-362397

What else? geo's assertions and a link to the nytimes. I don't go there anymore. They're Snopish in their leanings and they're losing traffic. The phony Russiagate thing is taking a toll on the government's old propaganda arms. The Times tries to panhandle some change whenever I go there now, so I mentally cross the street when I see a nytimes link.

It's hard to discuss gun-free zones because definitions vary. And definitions of "mass killing" vary. Throw in other variables and we're talking about two different things with the same name. But for the purposes of the current discussion, I'm talking about school shootings. Most schools technically are "gun restricted" zones because they allow security personnel to be armed, but with one cop policing acres of ground, schools may as well be gun-free. More qualified security personnel (whether they're teachers, janitors or maintenance workers) would mean quicker response times to shooting situations.

I don't know that nanny state liberals will ever understand guns. Every day I come across something that makes me shake my head at their ignorance. Just today I found this video:

mikesheedy.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/ ... cation.mp4

Image

A woman named Karen Mallard is running for office, in Virginia I think, and she put this video on her facebook page. In the video she shortens an AR-15's barrel to less than legal length, thus committing a serious federal firearms violation. And then she says that she'll be out marching with the kids blah blah blah. Here's an article about modifying ARs:

offthegridnews.com/self-defense/guns-am ... t-know-it/

You know...how can you argue in favor of more gun laws if you don't even understand the ones we have? The federal government murdered 82 men, women and children at Waco because one of the Branch Davidians reportedly shortened a shotgun barrel an inch more that the law allows. An inch. So they did this:

Image

That effort to protect children from dangerous gun nuts took place under Democratic gun-grabber Bill Clinton and Democrat governor Ann Richards. That's what liberals do when they just THINK you illegally modify a weapon.

And the Rightists aren't any better on guns at the moment. Republicans currently control congress, and they're getting ready to pass the "STOP School Violence Act." The vote's set for next week. It's warmed-over slop, nothing new related to school shootings, and it will deny veterans firearms. Something needs to be done about making schools more safe, and the politicians are going to pretend to do that while disarming vets. Disgusting.
