The city of Chicago is in store for a sweltering summer, with plenty of gang violence and gruesome murders in the forecast. During his 17 years as a cop, Danny Doyle has seen it all – or so he believes. As the heat intensifies, the naked bodies of young women butchered in the grisliest fashion begin turning up in parks around Chicago. Even more disturbing is the reality that these sickening slayings are ritualistic in nature. Doyle’s worst fears are realized when he discovers he’s up against an elusive Satanic cult whose leader believes he possesses supernatural powers.

Although they hail from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, Doyle and Wong are smitten with one another.
The body count rises, and the Disciples of Satan are determined to track down and kill Wong before she can testify against them. Doyle feels the pressure mounting as he fights to keep the woman he loves alive while solving the horrific murders and bringing this band of malevolent, cold-blooded devil worshippers to justice.
