Post subject:  self publishing

I used BookSurge, a subsidiary of Amazon for the reason you stated. I explored self-publishing and the least expensive printing cost was about $5.65 in lots of 100. They did not print on demand. My essay is only 55 8 1/2 x 11 pages and office max wanted $10.95.

BookSurge provided excellent editing, cover design, and printing for a flat fee of $1,300. I can buy as many books as I wish for $2.65. When Amazon sells a book for me they pay $4.55 per copy once a month when the balance due is over $10. I have no storage issues, no shipping issues, no credit card issues, etc. I thought it was a fair arrangement and the flat fee was just a little over the standard charges of any professional editor. My essay is not "striking a chord" in people either because of the topic or because of my writing but not because of Amazon. My publishing consultant at BookSurge is John Rizzo. His phone is 843-789-5220.

If you call you may use my name as a referral. John was extremely helpful and available throughout the whole process which took approximately 6 months. Let me know if I can help you in any other way. Best wishes, Lawrence
