Sick which is about a masochist with cystic fibrosis. And his relationship with pain.

The princess bride, such a good story amazing characters, story and dialogue that is memorable and I love Andre the giant.

The never ending story which was a wonderful book as well (I liked how the book character was heavy and how it changed his character a bit from the movie in Which he is slim) the Scene where the horse sinks is so sad and stayed with me for life.

"The Conversation' (Francis Ford Coppola, dir., starring Gene Hackman, 1974)

The whole plot revolves around one line-- did the character (played by Frederic Forrest) say, "He'd KILL us if he got the chance," or "He'd kill US if he got the chance."

This is an art-house sort of film, not the epic-type for which Coppola is better known. I think it's Hackman's best performance (he later played an amped-up version of his character in this film in 1986's "Enemy Of The State"). Fantastic supporting cast includes Forrest, Robert Duvall, Harrison Ford, John Cazale, Teri Garr. The film's final scene is the best implosion of a character I've ever seen.

First watched this movie in a film class in college and have watched it dozens of times since.

There's a lot of good films mentioned. It made me happy to see The Conversation.

I highly recommend the 2006 German film, The Lives of Others.

That's easy! Dracula (1979) with Frank Langella as the Count. Twenty years later, I was lucky to find the DVD in a wee second hand shop.

We've watched it once a year at Halloween ever since. It's the best and most romantic one.
