So what are your favorite podcasts? When I'm too tired to read, I'm finding that podcasts and music are better choices for me than watching one of umpteen new tv series. There are no sports on either, of course.
I'm liking "Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend." Conan's bright and wacky. He has on the podcast both entertainers and others such as writers. Joe Rogan?--very smart guy, in depth, a little too heavy on the f-bombs for me.

Re: Podcasts
I haven't done podcasts in years. I probably should get back into them but don't you have to use iTunes to access them?

Re: Podcasts
iPhones have a separate podcast app these days. You don't need iTunes.
I've listed to Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend a few times. He always cracks me up.
Otherwise, I still listen to a lot of old time radio shows. Mysterious Traveler is my new favorite. You can go to OTRCat.com and download almost anything. Also, Relic Radio has several old time radio podcasts that feature different genres: crime, mystery, sci-fi, etc.

It seems to me more like everyone has one! There's a podcast icon on my iPad, so that's how I browse what's out there.Chris OConnor wrote:I've assumed podcasts are going away since they're doing away with iTunes.

I used to listen to broadcasts of the old "Johny Dollar" show on NPR. He was the insurance investigator "with the action-packed expense account." Priceless.geo wrote:iPhones have a separate podcast app these days. You don't need iTunes.

I guess podcasts are a lot like radio. I like that it's just people talking and not much expense or elaborate production involved.

Oh, WTF with Marc Maron perhaps should be mentioned. He's interviewed just about everyone in the world.

Re: Podcasts
Speaking of podcasts, my son recently mentioned this one about the Tulsa massacre.

Re: Podcasts
I love listening to The Minimalists podcast where they talk about living a meaningful life with less. It is very easy to listen to, has no ads in between and leaves you feeling positive and relaxed.
