I watched the video about the virtual shopping in South Korea. I recently read, "Nothing to Envy: Odinary Lives in North Korea", Barbara Demick' (2009). Yes, the idea in this video is genius but it made my heart sink knowing that an entire population of people sharing the same name are starving. The book affected me deeply.
This reminds me of the "Hunger Games" where you have the rich capital and the poor districts. There is a passage from the second "Hunger Games" book where the players from the poor districts are at a feast at the capital. There is a drink provided to the party goers that induces vomiting to allow more feasting to occur. This passage reminds me of the cruelty and starvation North Koreans suffer and I suppose the video did too.
