Anyone know Alfred Hitchcock stories?
I’m hoping someone will be able to tell me the name of a Alfred Hitchcock story I read part of a long long time ago.
It was about a guy who would see movement out of the corner of his eye, but when he looked there was nothing there. Spoiler alert: It tuned out he was seeing creatures. I don’t remember the name of the the creatures, but I’m sure their name started with a P.
That’s all I can remember.
I hope someone can tell me the name of this story so I can finish it.

Thanks

The story sounds like Anthony Boucher's "They Bite."

Alfred Hitchcock published many anthologies. Or rather his name was affixed to a number of anthologies that were published from the 1940s to 1980s. That particular story mentioned by DB Roy was published in . . .

I first read it in high school from a Lovecraft mythos anthology and really liked it. I read to my daughters when they were kids as a bedtime story. One of them, the middle one, I think, really liked it. I clicked on the link and read the contents and read some of these others in different Hitchcock collections--"The Birds," for example and "The Crate at Outpost 1." I seem to remember "The Inexperienced Ghost" but I can't pull up anything concrete.
