The Wicked Come is a collection of Dark Romantic and Gothic Horror poetry.
The collection explores the darker side of humanity, what happens when people love too much, when sanity crashes against madness and meet the characters that inhabit the shadow lands of society: the gourmet detective, the doctor with unusual hobbies, the unnatural gardener and other fascinating creatures.This is Victorian Gothic Horror so its subtle and psychological with many twists, strange tales and unfortunate endings.
The poetry takes the form of free verse and rhyming verse depending on the way the story is unfolding.
This book is not your people who read about love, tragic deaths or happy children playing in the sun. One critic was horrified that some of the poems were scary and dark but then she reviewed mostly erotic love poetry and so I try to warn people now this collection is deep, dark, imaginative and sometimes may scare!
