A powerful antiwar piece:

I'm posting it here because I couldn't help thinking of it in terms of the conservative moral values that Haidt talks about.

It is interesting to note the similarities among the political parties in terms of war, despite the rhetoric. And notice how the left-wing is less critical when their team is in office.

I haven't read as far into the book as you have, so can't connect this with Haidt very well. It's certainly true that we who supported Obama have given him a pass for doing a lot of the same things that GWB did.
