Moby Dick in the end

Unread post

I have to admit that the end of Moby Dick was somewhat anticlimactic. I knew when I began how the story ends, so this is not the source of my disappointment. So many of the tangent chapters are so amusingly written I happily trotted off after Melville where ever he went; glad for the happy diversion. The end was a straight shot, it all happens so quickly and without much of the colorful language of previous chapters it is over before you know it - done and now where am I? I am without a book to read!

Saffron, I hope this means you're going to return to the discussions? Now you have the overview...
