I will be posting the content of my thoughts and notes soon...it has been busy for me and I have no focus at all. I am taking notes and will respond to the last posts Dissident and Mad have posted (both who are NOT reading the book!).Who is reading this? Who will be posting? No commitment...just a feeler...Mr. P. Mr. P's place. I warned you!!!The one thing of which I am positive is that there is much of which to be negative - Mr. P.The pain in hell has two sides. The kind you can touch with your hand; the kind you can feel in your heart...Scorsese's "Mean Streets"I came to kick ass and chew Bubble Gum...and I am all out of Bubble Gum - They Live, Roddy Piper

Just because I'm not reading it now, don't assume that I won't be reading it in the future. And I DID read the sections that I've commented on.

I've posted my notes for chapters 5, 6, and 7, and now I'm going to take a break from the book for a while. Dennett's style and arguments are wearing on me, and I'm not sure that finishing the book is going to be worthwhile until discussion picks up in this forum. It's been suggested in the past that my style of discussing books like this drives people away from the threads. If anyone feels that way, then just pretend, for the moment, that I haven't posted anything at all. Go ahead and make your comments, and later on, if you want to see a dissenting opinion, you can go back and check out what I've written so far. I definitely don't want to dissuade anyone from taking part in the discussion.

I was testing the ability to create custom titles beneath members names. I'd like to give some credit to members who donate money to help support BookTalk, and one of the methods will be to place some sort of custom title under their names.
