Really? I thought Tyson was making a serious point and an interesting one. Do you remember my definition of a hack?

That was very funny.

I think Tyson was calling Dawkins to task regarding his tone and methods of persuasion. Even many atheists feel he goes too far in his attacks on religion. But what a great answer and, yes, probably a bit of a dodge as well. So what. There is no question that Dawkins is passionate about science and he's willing to publicly question the most ridicule aspects of religion. Frankly we need people who are willing to say the emperor has no clothes.

I wouldn't like Dawkins either if I believed in fairy tales and he didn't hesitate to point out their absurdity.

Who says I don't like Dawkins? but it was disappointing that he couldn't come up with an original response.

As for fairy tales;

Once upon a time,
long, long ago there was a thing.
Where this thing came from?
No one knows except that it wasn't god.
And This thing was very, very small.
But very, very massive.
And something happeneded and this thing exploded
and became you and me.
The end.

I sure hope everyone participating right now will be reading and discussing "A Devil's Chaplain" at some point.
