What size of font would you recommend for using to write short stories? I was wondering if size 16 or size 12 is better. The last story I wrote I used the large print (16). Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I moved this from a different forum. It belongs here. ;-)

A lot of people seem to be saying size 12, but that seems really small to me. Intuitively, I’d say 13.5 looks about right, but I get that it looks quite different on a screen. It’s a young adult story, fyi, and I’d print it in your average paperback size.

For me, it really depends on my eyesight that day! I usually use a size 12, but sometimes a size 16 is better when I've got to concentrate more.
Generally speaking though, looking at most of my book collection, the font size is about 16 :)
