Heh, yeah, don't mind me. I wander in and out. For a quick update...moved to Florida (Gainesville, I know Chris will ask), got divorced, moved back to Nodak, froze my butt off because it's cold. Several weird jobs and plenty of books and video games in the mean time. Hopefully I'll have enough time to get back into the swing of things here. :)

You've been busy it seems. Well, it is nice to see you back here on BookTalk.org.

What videos games are you playing these days? I'm a bit hooked on Battlefield 2.

I mostly play an MMO called EVE Online. It definitely sucks up a lot of my spare time. As for console games, my BF and I are working our way through Borderlands 2. We both suck at console games so it's a lot of drinking and dying. :) Not necessarily in that order. Oh, and if anyone here wants to play EVE or the console game related to it, Dust 514 (only available on PS, I think), let me know. I can introduce you to people. This is the only game that hooks in computer games to console games. On the PC you can shoot each other in space ships and on the console you can shoot each other in the face and take over a planet for the space geeks. Plus the PC gamers can rain down fire while the planet side grunts take over planets.

I seem to have wandered back in. Don't judge me for ending a sentence with a preposition! Language is fluid!

Also, most currently played game by me is Borderlands Pre-Sequal.

Seriously? Christians in a non-christian place? Don't they have their own places to go? Can't they find a place in their own world where they don't have to bother me with their stupid ideas of heaven and hell? I get that every single day. I came back here to not have to deal with that. I'll be nice, but seriously..I logged back in to this forum because I missed not having to explain my atheism. I am surrounded by Christians. Nice people, but I like to talk to logical people outside of making nice with family and business persons.

Following on that thought, hey Chris, what was your free hosting place? I have a group of Christian friends that have formed a book club and many of them can't make the wine and book discussion but still crave discussion in between nappies and other life requirements. I'd like to set up for them a forum for the people who can't show up, but I don't know the free forum domain that you used and I haven't been able to figure it out. A FB group totally sucks for not giving away spoilers and I'd like to help my HS friend who started this group. She got more interest than she was ready for when she suggested a book club! Oh, the point of the book club isn't being Christian, they just happen to be Christian. If that were not the case I would have mentioned this forum. Unless you want to create a sub-forum for a book club of someone I knew in HS, lol. Otherwise I would really appreciate the name of the place you got free forum hosting from. My google searches have not helped me find one.

We used to use a free hosting forum called ezboard. They then changed names to YuKu and I believe they are still around.

I'd be happy to set up a private forum on BookTalk.org for them and have done that in the past. How many people are we talking about? 3 or 4? All I need from you is a name for the forum and a brief forum description that will be shown below the forum name/link.

You might want to email me at chris AT booktalk.org because it is easy to miss posts here on the forums.

Tried to email you, domain not found. My email registered on this forum I can't access now, which I wouldn't care about if it hadn't prevented me from downloading and playing The Sims 3 on my laptop.

You would really do that? Like, create a subform for people who aren't non-religious? My many business classes tell me that this is the epitome of synergy. Why create a new forum when this one could be helped by new book buyers.

It would need to be super private, invite only. These people are not looking for discussion/arguments, only for reading books and talking about them to someone who is not a 2 year old. Like...a lot of moms desperate for adult conversation, but not looking to re-think their life views or anything.

Re-try your email so we can discuss.

Happy holiday crap and all that, I'll check in later for the arranging of....a bunch of people who want to read books and want to discuss reading books. We'll figure it out. After we go sing Christmas Carols and dance our asses off on New Years. :D
