I am currently reading "The Door Through Space" by Marion Zimmer Bradley. It is one of her earlier works, written in 1961. I am reading it, as I needed a break from "serius" works (non-fiction, biography, etc.)

A while back I saw that T.S. Eliot considered Shakespeare's
Coriolanus to be superior to
Hamlet. So I read
Coriolanus. Then I read some Eliot and I remembered how much I like his
FOUR QUARTETS. That link goes to a pdf I put together. On the first page there's a link that goes to Eliot reading the poem. You can right click that and open the recording in a separate window, then scroll down and follow the words. The piece meanders and sounds like word salad most of the time, but it's a great one.

Please read the rules and then
help us select our next non-fiction book. But read the rules first.

Hello All!
I am fairly new here, but I wanted to contribute to the discussion. I am currently reading "1984," a book that I have never read but (obviously) a classic dystopian novel. I am taking time to try and catch up reading classic books that I did not have time to read in my younger years, so I am definitely open to suggestions.
This community looks like a great place to "hang out" online, so I'll be back.
Sincerely,
Emily

I found a copy of
The Things They Carried at a yard sale last weekend, so I'm re-reading it. Excellent book. It and
Dubliners are my two favorite collections of short stories, ever.

Also reading a collection of Jeeves stories by Wodehouse. Funny, funny stuff.
