Hello Everyone, my name is Ben Franke. I am one of the creators and hosts of the Indie Beginning Podcast. Please take a moment to read our mission and then allow me to explain my hopes for my place in this forum.

Indie Beginning is an audiobook format show focused on bringing readers and indie authors together through reviews and dialog. Every month the hosts, Ben and Marie, will read the beginning of two independently published novels and then read reviews and discuss unique topics from reviews sent in by readers on the following week's episode. Our hope is to help indie authors grow through the feedback given by the people who love stories.

I am hoping to start discussions here and to use your responses on our topic episodes. I am including a link to our website and our podcast hosting site below. (If you would just like to check out an episode I'd look at the libsyn link) as well as where you can submit audio reviews. Thanks for checking this post out and I look forward to our future conversations.

Some recent topics have been: Trigger warnings in literature, Using family history in fiction, and most recently Beginning your writing career later in life. Come for the stories; stay for the conversation!

*Note. We are NOT a monetized podcast. We have no charges for authors or reviewers. Any "advertising" on the podcast is free and done so to support a small (indie) business. We simply enjoy the stroies and want to help authors with their careers and readers find yet to be discovered stories.

When you say "independently published" do you mean "self-published?"

We accept submissions from self published authors and those that have published with an independent publishing company. Think mom and pop. North Star press out of Minnesota is an example.

This sounds intriguing.
