Hi all,
I am new to the forum and looking for some recommendations for my book club...

We had been pretty uninspired till we read Gone Girl a few months ago and then Bloody Jude last month and life seems to have been re-injected into our group!!!

Both books were kind of psychological thrillers peppered with some romance and as a group they really did divide us!!!! Both caused such a debate!!! Many of us were totally disappointed by the lack lustre ending of Gone Girl and others branded Bloody Jude as 50 Shades in disguise with a psychological twist! Long and short both books got us talking and we want more!!!!

Can anyone recommend any other books in this vain? Romance peppered with tense psychological thriller and some passion?

The romance meets psychological thriller seems to be the genre that the group as a whole enjoys!!!

All help welcome!!!!

:thanks2:

Hey!

I just finished reading, Trying not to breathe by Holly Seddon.

It is a romance/psychological thriller.

Many times through out the book I was writing down quotes for my own writing. The author tapped into human nature, the way we try to protect ourselves and our secrets. A journalist is investigating the crime of a comatose patient she grew up with. Its long since become a cold case.

It was an amazon best thriller. I loved it but it received mixed reviews on Goodreads.
