Trump: World's worst mascot

Unread post

I've spoken before about the Trump we see on tv not being an actual person, but instead a brand mascot along the same vein as Aunt Jemima, Colonel Sanders, Ronald McDonald or The Burger King.

The Donald Trump we see is exactly equivalent to any of those other corporate mascots in that when we see him it is to the purpose of shilling for his brand. Trump television shows, Trump hotels, Trump airlines, Trump steaks, and the entirely fraudulent Trump University. The public face of Donald Trump, in other words, is a façade. He's selling us a hollow man characterization of how he once thought rich people should act. In living this public face for the last few decades whatever there once was of an honest to goodness real personality has been subsumed and corrupted to serve the greater good of pushing all brands TRUMP.

It is now without question that Trump is the single least qualified human being to ever last deep into the primaries, and now much to our country's collective shame, he's the actual candidate being fielded by the republicans. This is an absolute travesty and probably the death knell of the republican party as we know it. His gaffes are too numerous to name or even remember. The two latest are the fact of him being prosecuted for child rape, and now the footage of Trump bragging about how being famous means he is free to "grab women by the pussy".

What spurred me to write this post is when I realized that not only is Trump not a real human and instead a corporate mascot, but that he's actually the least qualified MASCOT for president of the united states.

Pit Aunt Jemima, Colonel Sanders, Ronald McDonald, even the Hamburgler, or the Noid two mascots which were meant to be bad-guys against Donald Trump and ask which of these fictional personalities would better serve America as president of the united states.

I have absolutely no doubt that any of these other fictitious persons would sound more intelligent, produce better policy, form stronger alliances and corrupt the government to finance their own companies LESS than Donald Trump. While no doubt Ronald McDonald would try to replace school cafeterias with mini-McDonald's restaurants at least I am 100% certain he wouldn't be caught bragging that he can grab a woman by the pussy.

Colonel Sanders looks like a white power figurehead to me.... and I have no doubt that his writers would NEVER allow him to say that Mexicans are rapists, or to endorse building a ludicrously racist, short sighted, prohibitively expensive border walls against one of our allies.

While The Burger King and Donald Trump both hand out useless paper pretending to lend one prestige, the paper crowns at Burger King are probably more efficient at making someone a king than the diplomas from the un-accredited Trump University would be at making you a successful real estate mogul.

Because all of these corporate mascots are written by a team of people in suits whose job it is to try to attract business and keep customer satisfaction high. Each end every one of them could be counted on to run the government more effectively, with more people's well being in mind, and to produce policy that adheres to reality better than Donald Trump.

Is this the virtue of faith? To never change your mind: especially when you should?

When you have over 30 ex-republican congressmen urging fellow republicans NOT to vote for Trump, it would probably be a good idea to listen to them. They know everything you just wrote and I think that maybe for the first times in their political careers, they are placing country above party (they have to know the GOP is an extinct volcano at this point). It's kind of a "he's already destroyed our party, don't let him destroy the country."

The problem with Trump as corporate mascot is that the other mascots are controlled, finger puppets, if you will. Trump is controlled only by Trump and the problem is that Trump can't control himself. He can't stop the crazy. He's now released a video claiming he's changed SO much in the last ten years that he's not that person anymore. First, the rhetoric was so unlike Trump that it was obvious he didn't write that tripe and the fact that he needs someone to write for him when he's attempting to sound contrite speaks volumes. Second, the idea that he's learned so much and changed so much in ten years is ridiculous when we realize we're talking about 59 year old man! Third, it's obvious he hasn't changed one iota.

All the republican party had to do at the convention is tell him he can't have the nomination. Too many questions, too many lawsuits still pending--he can't have it. That's all they had to do. Sure it would cost them the election but they're going to lose anyway. Or he gets elected in which case we ALL lose. Even if they win they lose. So just deny him the nomination on those grounds. They didn't. So they stand there watching their own leaders past and present bailing on them. The toxic Trump brand has now become the GOP brand and the GOP is going to go the way all those Trump brands have gone--down the shitter.

Trump already had the nomination locked up at that point, don't think there was any legal way to do that. Although some are still trying, obviously waaay too late! I guess they're imagining Pence could take over?
Trump Campaign Reels as Some Donors Explore Replacing Him
Key Republican donors have begun looking into whether it’s possible to replace Donald Trump as the party’s presidential nominee after his campaign was jarred Friday by a video showing him speaking about groping women and making other crude, sexually aggressive comments.

Nothing illegal about it. That was kicked around by the pundits before the convention. The verdict was that the RNC is a private organization and can change their rules anytime they want to. It might violate the principles but not the law. They caved to Trump's threats of violence from his idiot sheep if they denied him the nomination. They were cowards who knuckled under. For the good of their party, all they had to say was that he has too many pending lawsuits which have a good chance of going against him and we can't put someone in the White House that is going to be wrapped up in litigation all the time and possibly get sentenced to prison--it isn't fair to the country. Then let his asshole followers riot. A good excuse to shoot a bunch of them and strengthen the American gene pool.

Yes, it is far too late now. Trump, I will say now, is done. It doesn't matter how well he does in the debates now--he's done. It's incredible that it took this to break the camel's back. And you know there's worse stuff out there. You KNOW there is and I'll bet the DNC already has it. Even Julian Assange appears to have petered out. That was funny too. All these Trumpettes waiting with baited breath for wikileaks to release that filched info that will DESTROY Hillary. Yeah, well, don't hold your breath. And Pence? I don't think the country wants another Tea Party Christian extremist turd in the White House. No. Pence can't save them.

What a bunch of dullards. They only now realize what a worthless sack of shit he is?? But when he advocated torture, the killing of terrorists' families, the stealing of another country's oil, the building of a wall to separate us from an ALLY, calling for the execution of the Central Park 5 even after they were exonerated, calling for stop-and-frisk as a way of REACHING OUT to blacks, calling for dissolution of NATO, his praise of Putin, his starting of birtherism and then trying to pin it on Clinton, his calling global warming a Chinese hoax, his calling Mexican immigrants rapists (he NEVER even used the word "illegal"), his complete unfamiliarity with America's nuclear arsenal and how it works, his attacking a judge for being of Mexican descent, his calls for allies to start stockpiling nuclear weapons, his misogynistic insults of his female detractors and critics, his feud with a beauty queen and a gold star family, his calls to ban Muslims "until we figure out what's going on", his pinning of the birth of ISIL on Obama, his claims to have been against the Iraq War when he wasn't yet criticizes Hillary for voting for it even his VP pick also voted for it, etc. etc.etc.

But NOW they realize what a scum bucket he is after more than a year and half of listening to this shit. Of listening to him spout 4 different viewpoints on the same subject within an 8-hour period. Even yet, some of them denounce him but haven't actually pulled away. Some of these jerks are still determined to ride this trainwreck. I have newfound respect for Mitt Romney for opposing Trump from the start and never wavering. But you go on the internet and there's still idiots saying, "He didn't say anything that all men don't say at times." Really? I can't recall the last time I ever bragged about forcing myself on a married woman and grabbing her pussy. I don't recall having a single male friend who ever said any such thing. Most of the people saying that are women too. So, apparently, their fathers are pieces of shit because my father never talked like that which probably has a lot to do with why I don't talk like that.

Then you get this "That was 11 years ago!" Yeah and?? He wasn't 18 years old eleven years ago, he was 59. He was older than I am now. I can't imagine talking like him because I have three daughters and a stepdaughter. If I ever heard Trump talk about them like he talked these women he molested, I'd punch his goddamn lights out. You wouldn't recognize him by the time I was done with him. I mean, do these people really think he's any different now than he was then with all the stupid shit he's spouted since the day this election cycle began?? Hopeless idiots!!
