American Exceptionalism

Despite Santanyana’s warning America loves to repeat history. And why not? We have never, are not now, and will never do anything wrong. That’s why it’s critical that we declare total victory in the Covid War, renounce all restrictions including vaccines, and bravely face down new variants that are much more communicable and deadly. Through coordinated inaction America can form yet another Covid wave to cull thousands of lives so inconsequential we will deem them the continuation of a hoax. To do anything less would be to admit something went wrong last year. We cannot abide anything that disrespects The Flag and American History.

I apologize. To make up for that, here’s 2 minutes of Schubert by Khatia Buniatishvili.

Who is next?

How about people who don't get the Covid vaccine because it was "rushed" or hasn't been "thoroughly tested" and then as soon as they get Covid take horse de-wormers. Brilliant.

"Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using ivermectin. Using ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally."

I don't know that Ivermectin is an effective treatment for COVID-19 but it is apparently much more than just a life stock dewormer. Hundreds of millions of people have taken Ivermectin, by prescription, for decades. It has it's human uses and the scientists who developed the drug received a Nobel Prize for their contribution to the world.

You're right, Chris. I mockingly referred to as as "horse de-wormer", but (Google says) Ivermectin is also used by humans for parasitic worms and other things.
For humans, ivermectin tablets are approved at very specific doses to treat some parasitic worms, and there are topical (on the skin) formulations for head lice and skin conditions like rosacea.

The article goes on to say that clinical trials are being conducted to see if Ivermectin is effective against COVID-19. But so far no benefit.
