If you find the grocery lists amusing/telling/what-have-you, try Found Magazine. I'm drawn to stuff like this -- the poetry of daily life perhaps.Lori "All beings are the owners of their deeds, the heirs to their deeds."

Ah...Paris!

for a honeymoon, it was perfect (despite the fact we both had colds! ). We'd both been there before, seperately, and this time we rented an apartment for our 10-night stay. Highly recommended. Hey, good to see you're still kicking. Will you be volunteering in your new home town? It looks georgeous there!

Already at it! I have one part-time job already -- manager of the local Farmers' Market...and that led to me being asked to (suckered into ) help the local Canada World Youth organization out, by planning the welcome party for the latest crop of participants (10 from all over Canada, 10 from Uruguay, who will spend the next 3 months living and working here before going to Uruguay). There is, of course, no budget. I'm hoping the volunteering I've done in the past continues to translate into paid work. I'm billing myself as an event coordinator (which is what I was doing as a volunteer all last year)...and the Farmers' Market is a weekly event. A great job that I got with a hand-written resume of all volunteer experience -- so it does pay off! "All beings are the owners of their deeds, the heirs to their deeds." But scrumfish...why does the system say you're "Brand spanking new" with only 10 posts? That's weird. "All beings are the owners of their deeds, the heirs to their deeds." Loricat's Book NookCelebrating the Absurd

Yes, good question. I'm not sure why her post count is at 10 only. Maybe she has only made 10 total posts since ezBoard was hacked about a year or more ago. I'm not sure. When the entire system was hacked we lost about 200 members from our memberhsip roster. Of course, they became members again once they made a new post. So maybe she only made 10 posts since that hacking. Hopefully Scrum replies and tells us if that is the case.

Well, we've moved into our house. It's wonderfully weird to have a house...I'm looking forward to the learning curve of maintenance over the years. "All beings are the owners of their deeds, the heirs to their deeds." Loricat's Book NookCelebrating the Absurd

I'm back!

Unread post

After an unexpected hiatus from the BookTalk, I'm back. Don't know really what happened over the last couple of weeks. Started working at a mindless job for cash flow, turned out to be dull-as-dishwater cash dribble (you can read about it on my blog)...took up extra time, plus house stuff, plus...I have no idea. But I'm here now. D'ya miss me? "All beings are the owners of their deeds, the heirs to their deeds." Loricat's Book NookCelebrating the Absurd
