The Enchanted by Rene Denfeld

I am currently reading 'The Enchanted' by Rene Denfeld. The author is a death penalty investigator and the novel is set on Death Row. I haven't finished it yet but I am gripped by the central character (a prisoner - not named) and the way he sees the world. The book is unusual in its topic so this has drawn me in too.
