Schiff should be prosecuted for what he did. The only thing more shameless than his imagineering is that someone would defend it.
A couple of weeks ago Democrats wanted to impeach the new Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh. I suspect that one of the motivations behind this latest blurt of leftist impeachment mania is the impending death of judge Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Pancreatic cancer (on top of several other cancers) means she can't last much longer. And leftists are terrified that a conservative court will make them play by the rules. So, impeach the judges, impeach Trump, impeach everybody.
But the Ukrainian gambit is a bad move. Look at this one-minute video. It lays out the Biden family's Ukrainian sins most adroitly:
Biden Privilege
youtube.com/watch?v=grmoMnwXFEo&fea ... e=youtu.be
Democrats are accusing Trump of BIDEN'S crimes. lol.
Hopefully Trump can destroy the corrupt Bidens the way he did the Bushes and Clintons, and then move on to the Obamas. The Kerrys might go down with the Bidens. John Kerry married into the Heinz ketchup family, and at least one Heinz was involved in the Biden/Ukrainian mess. The Kerrys, Bidens, Obamas and Clintons had a profitable time in Ukraine after Obama installed a fascist government there:

I notice the latest headline on DrudgeReport is that the "impeachment whistleblower" is in hiding, fearing for his/her life. Federal protection. So, this is the whistleblower that has no firsthand knowledge of any phone call. Trump has not been afforded the protection of the law (being faced by his accuser), and the accuser may or may not exist. He or she didn't really hear anything, but now is in protective custody. It's way too late for a re-write, but this story really, really needs one.

Re: The Coup against Donald Trump
He sums it up well. Trump is such a moron, he doesn't even realize that the things he said were criminal.KS wrote:The political establishment had stopped talking about impeaching Donald Trump, and then suddenly this week there was a rush to impeach. Because of a phone call.
Look at this clip, between roughly the 3:45 and 5:30 minute marks. Congressman Adam Schiff is talking about the Trump phone call, "imagining" what it sounded like.
Regarding the Bidens, Trump wouldn't be innocent even if they were guilty.
That's kind of missing the point. What the whistleblower reported was confirmed by Trump himself.I notice the latest headline on DrudgeReport is that the "impeachment whistleblower" is in hiding, fearing for his/her life. Well that post certainly has not aged well. In addition to Interbane's point, you may recall that Christine Blasey Ford had to leave her home for better self protection after testifying in the Kavanaugh matter. The threats against this whistleblower are much worse. The President has threatened the traditional punishment for spies: summary execution.KS wrote:I notice the latest headline on DrudgeReport is that the "impeachment whistleblower" is in hiding, fearing for his/her life. As to whether the whistleblower exists he or she will testify before congress soon.

Re: The Coup against Donald Trump
Is every call Trump makes now to be subject to congressional review? Among other things this is an attack by one branch of the govt on another. The politburo is now demanding transcripts of other calls made by Trump. I hope he doesn't provide them. if he does, then a bad, bad precedent is set for future presidents.
Apparently the politburo sees no downside to this. Only problem is, Trump's done nothing wrong. They planted illegal spies in his campaign, then "investigated" him for more than two years, and no wrongdoing was uncovered. Let that sink in. Could any of OUR records withstand that kind of scrutiny? So Trump is clean, and now the Leftists are panicking. Their profitable little crime against humanity in Ukraine is being exposed, so they do as they always do, they project their crime onto Trump. But he's done nothing wrong. He asked the president of Ukraine to resume an investigation into the corrupt Bidens. And to look into possible election interference. Nothing wrong with that.
But let's have a trial by all means. I enjoy watching the Democrats shoot themselves in their millipeded appendages.
The most worrisome thing here is that the impeachment will be channeled through the Intelligence Committee, instead of the Judiciary. That means our spook agencies will have a freer hand on Capitol Hill while the crucifixion is going on. And it could be that the Marxists think they have the 2/3rds vote needed in the Senate to convict. FBI = blackmail (remember, it was founded by a man who wore a dress), so blackmail is its specialty. You don't get to be a US Senator unless you have a walk-in closet full of skeletons, so we could see a bunch of Republican senators "inexplicably" vote for impeachment. And if the vote count looks like it might come up one or two shy, then we could go into sudden death. As in the death of a senator from a state with a Democratic governor. Replace the Repub with a Dem, take the vote, and Mao's yer uncle.

Re: The Coup against Donald Trump
The conspiracy crowd grasps at some mighty thin straws. When a log comes into view, they can't see it. Wonder why not. They can only play dumb with regard to Trump's phone call. I'd have more respect for them if they just acknowledged the quid pro quo and said Yeah, so what?52 U.S. Code § 30121.Contributions and donations by foreign nationals
U.S. Code
(a)Prohibition: It shall be unlawful for—
(1)a foreign national, directly or indirectly, to make—
(A)a contribution or donation of money or other thing of value, or to make an express or implied promise to make a contribution or donation, in connection with a Federal, State, or local election;
(B)a contribution or donation to a committee of a political party; or
(C)an expenditure, independent expenditure, or disbursement for an electioneering communication (within the meaning of section 30104(f)(3) of this title); or
(2)a person to solicit, accept, or receive a contribution or donation described in subparagraph (A) or (B) of paragraph (1) from a foreign national.
Potentially, any phone call a president makes can be reviewed, why not? It's not as though a president has a right to privacy when dealing with a foreign leader. His calls are always logged by intelligence anyway. The substance of the calls can be reviewed by Congress and even released to the public, subject to national security concerns. Obviously, Congress doesn't want to do that type of monitoring, for efficiency reasons. In this case, a person of conscience thought that the words of the president were extremely concerning, so he wrote the whistleblower memo, deemed by the Inspector General to be valid. The reaction of the deniers fails the Obama test miserably. If the accusation was against Trump's predecessor, is there any doubt that the WB would be hailed as a hero, as Julian Assange was?KindaSkolarly wrote:Is every call Trump makes now to be subject to congressional review? You're forgetting that the overall purpose of the Mueller investigation was to determine how far the Russian reach extended into the election. Mission accomplished there. They found that Trump himself wasn't criminally liable on the cooperation charge, though they left the obstruction charge open. With the signals Trump was sending out regarding Russia, the FBI, and then the special prosecutor, would have been nuts not to look into them. Biden's actions have been reviewed multiple times, with no findings of blame. But you choose not to believe them. Why Hunter B. had that sweet job on the Burisma board in the first place is possibly sleazy in the general way of politics. I don't know that Biden can be held responsible for being his father and thus lending him the cred that Burisma was seeking.Apparently the politburo sees no downside to this. Far-fetched indeed. The general thinking is that the Dems run a big risk in moving toward impeachment. It's not politically smart. The most worrisome thing here is that the impeachment will be channeled through the Intelligence Committee, instead of the Judiciary. Re: The Coup against Donald Trump
There was no quid pro quo. Leftists WANT to believe Trump broke the law, but he didn't. Or not that I see. Whereas Biden BRAGGED about breaking the law. So let the trial begin. At least this has brought Trump's lagging base back to the voting booth. And Pelosi drove off the moderate Democrats. The only other political stratagem in the Democratic playbook now is to "blow shit up," so we'll see how that works for them.
And what did Adam Schiff know and when did he know it?
"House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff knew the details of the whistleblower's complaint against President Trump before it was filed because the CIA officer went to one of the committee aides beforehand, according to the New York Times."
washingtonexaminer.com/news/schiff-knew ... -was-filed
Is it possible that Schiff helped write the complaint? What he read the other day (his lie about what Trump said) sounded like scripted dialogue. It sounded like the first draft of a really bad Mafia movie. And Schiff took such obvious delight in mouthing the lines. Did that demented little turd try to pass off his creative writing project as the Real Deal?
It may be that the insurrectionists are preparing for a secret impeachment trial. Since the matter is being handled by the House Intelligence Committee, the committee could rule that all of its evidence is "classified." The finding for impeachment could then be forwarded to the Senate as classified, and we could see a secret vote. An actual Star Chamber secret trial, with a final tally that no one could verify. The Fake News media would act bewildered through the whole process of course (since there's "no precedent), while every day we would get a Schiff summation of what the president "thought about." Today Schiff said that any defense Trump makes will be considered obstruction of justice. This is Soviet. This is ChiCom. If congress tries to impeach Trump in secret, folks, we ALL need to hold them accountable. I would have even gone to bat for the hated Hussein Obama on something like that.
The timing of this latest impeachment ploy is curious. It appears that the communist Chinese are preparing to overrun Hong Kong, so could this be their way of distracting the US before they move? Is the Democratic Party seeking to render the president ineffective so that its ChiCom allies can murder a million people?

Re: The Coup against Donald Trump
The Ukraine president mentions how desperately they need more Javelin missiles, and Trumps response is "I need you to do us a favor though..."
That's quid pro quo.
Now he's freaking out like a baby and threatening civil war. How can you defend that?

Re: The Coup against Donald Trump
And speaking of documents that have yet to be seen, or heard, how about the Zelensky phone call? The call reportedly lasted 30 min., yet to read the transcript takes about 10. The audio needs to be made available to Congress.
Donald Trump is hoping apparently to normalize foreign election interference by calling for it openly. Now he has asked China to investigate his political opponent. China's too smart to get into this, but picture the scene if they were to give Trump what he asked for. He would believe them without reservation, having more faith in their credibility than in that of our own intelligence agencies. Now that's patriotism!

Re: The Coup against Donald Trump
I was thinking about the story, The Emperor Has No Clothes. It just boggles the mind how many Americans, including most Republicans, continue to defend Trump's actions. They refuse to see that the man has some serious mental issues. Thus, it was gratifying today to read Mitt Romney's latest statement:
"When the only American citizen President Trump singles out for China’s investigation is his political opponent in the midst of the Democratic nomination process, it strains credulity to suggest that it is anything other than politically motivated."
I get it that politics is messy business, but Trump clearly has taken a step too far in this Ukraine business. The man has long been a menace to American ideals and traditions. Now that he has so clearly broken the law, impeachment and conviction is necessary.
