The Keepers-https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FLQKJ3C

Archeology professor Alex and his journalist friend Stephen are doing research on OOPART, or Out of Place artifacts. These are items from a certain period of time, but the technology used to make them was not available until much later. While researching possible explanations, they come upon a theory about an ancient society with more advanced technology than we have today. However, this society existed thousands of years earlier than history tells us civilization began. During their research they meet Anthony, who shows them evidence that this group not only existed in the past but have passed their information and technology down from generation to generation within a secret organization known as The Keepers.

Pete Carmichael was the creator of this group. Sensing a threat of nuclear war, he and his friends gathered as much information as they could and stored it all in a safe place. When their worst fears came true, Pete was inside the cave alone. When the fallout was over, he emerged and formed a group to help civilization get back to normal.

Sebastian Cosgrove is an engineering graduate student who is working as an intern and trying to finish his masters degree. He is approached by Alex and Stephen when they discover that Sebastian is about to be recruited to join The Keepers. They have to convince him to infiltrate The Keepers and expose them once and for all.
