Re: The Inkworld Trilogy
I love those series. The first is my all time fav. Um, MelissaRose, I would actually read the book first, then watch the movie. I saw the movie and if you haven't read the book, then you won't exactly know what is going on in the movie. This movie is like you NEED to read it first to actually get th...

Re: The Road Pages 1-33
Only one name was mentioned in the book, that of the old man who claims he is called Ely, but later says it is perhaps not even true--knowing names, giving your name away, is power or loss of power. And your name is one of the few possessions they have, definitely not to be shared with others. But ...

Re: McCarthy's writing style in "The Road"
I think it's something different, and people are starting to get a little bored with the same old thing. The plot might be different the story might be different, but the text, it's the same. So when he came out with this style first, I think people would have been confused at first, but then gradua...

Re: The "Catastrophe"
It could have easily been like in the dark ages. I have read a man's theory where he believes that our world is going full circle, whatever happened in the past will happen in the future (still trying to understand) and it might be a plague. Like in the dark ages. Never know. Could be a war that hap...

Re: The Movie
I actually never heard of it. I saw a preview of it, and it looked okay, never realizing that it was a book. This should turn out interesting.

Re: What is your favorite baseball team?
The huggest Cubs fan. I know, a CUBS FAN?!? But, that's just it. I am in love with the Cubs. I lived in Chicago for a few years, and just fell in love with the Cubs. I know that we have not been in the World Series in over 100 years, but I still love them.
