Motifs would be darkness, corruption, mournful, and despair.
Marlow is constantly surrounded an environment of darkness, and hatred. His curiosity drives him to go deeper into Africa, this is somewhat like the human mind eventually leading to corruption.

I think in literal terms "Heart of Darkness" is Africa itself, because it's in the heart of the World. But figuratively i feel that Conrad is saying even if you're kind in heart there is always a part of you that is evil or selfish.

umm Captain Underpants books were pretty awesome
Goosebumps were some of my first chapter books, and they were pretty interesting
