Re: Share songs and music videos that move you emotionally

Didn't know that band Owl City before I heard the song on the radio last week, it's really great! Can't explain what exactly I like about it, I just like it and it makes me feel happy. =) Does anyone know more songs of them? Are they as great as Fireflies ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPFTfB2BEN8

Re: Hiya

Hey Sofia, good choice not to resist the link. =) There are many nice topics and books to discuss in this forum. I'm quite new myself and really like it here because you can also discuss 'light' topics like favorite films or other topics when you're in the right mood for it. That diversity is reall...

Re: Books and Movies

I hope the Tim Burton version of Alice in Wonderland is good. I'm also looking forward to the Alice in Wonderland movie. Because I'm living in Germany I'll have to wait a bit longer until I can see it, but I'm really excited. I believe, it'll be kind of queer as the book itself is really confusing ...

Re: What do you think of the Kindle or electronic readers?

I'm not sure if it's because the Kindle or any other kind of electronic book isn't as popular in Germany as in the U.S., but I prefer 'ordinary' books to electronic onces. I think the 'reading-feeling' only appears when you hold a real book in your hands and can turn the paper pages. Of course, elec...

I'd like to spend a whole day alone in a real big library with real old books.

Re: Drag me to Hell

I think 'Drag me to hell' wasn't a brilliant film... I really enjoy watching horror movies and if you often watch those, you somewhen get used to it and kind of know what'll come next because most horror movies are structured in the same way. So I hoped that 'Drag me to hell' would make an exeption ...

Re: Tim Burton fan, anyone?

Tim Burton is great!!! All his films I've seen spread a fantastic and lovely as well as a dark and pensive mood. That's really great about him. I like his 'Corpse Bride' best, but 'Sleepy Hollow' is really good as well.

Re: What movie scared you when you were a kid?

Like Shalimar, I also watched Chucky when I wasn't old enough for that... I think I was about 10 or 11 and spent the night at a friend's house. Unfortunately, this friend had a big brother who lent us some movies and of course, we decided to watch the most gruesome one. Afterwards, we spent the rest...

Re: Do not judge a book by.......

I also prefer matt covers to shiny ones... Although I don't know why. I think it's kind of sad, that we (naturally) decide intuitively for books with 'nicer' covers. That's probably just a human trait, we can't do anythink against because it's our nature to judge something 'at first sight' . But nei...
