Re: Penny for Nasa

I am in UK and so it won't be my pennies, but I agree Cattleman! When we stop dreaming of the stars we become focused on ourselves; when we focus on ourselves we protect what we have instead of aiming for a better future.

Re: What are you currently reading?

Two books at the moment... (1) Xenostorm, by Brian Clegg. This is a YA sc-fi story (ebook and hard copy) based around the perils of nano structures. Brian Clegg is actually a scientist and science writer (I know some of his serious works) and I think this is his first foray into fiction. Very fast a...

Re: How much do editors cost?

Your book published! Guaranteed! Yeah, whatever...

I was a bit frustrated yesterday and vented my spleen in the Old Mill Books blog. I thought you might be vaguely amused by what I wrote... I hate it when people are surprised that Old Mill Books has turned down their manuscript and they respond by saying, ‘Well, xxxxx guarantee to publish me, so why...

Re: Time Travel Novel Written by High Schooler

I've just downloaded your book - I love time travel - and the opening chapter has me hooked. Look forward to finishing it and of course I'll leave a review on Amazon when finished. If you're interested, take a look at Shadows Beyond . Great YA novel. Near the end of the sample are links to where you...

Re: So much for holding out against Facebook for my novel...

I'm not altogether convinced that having a FB page is particularly helpful. On the other hand, keeping a book visible on FB (and others) is essential. In fact, the key is to get other people on FB to share your posts - it's a bit like pyramid selling, but with greater integrity!

Re: Hi Everyone

Hi Jessica I'm taken with the idea of pirate romance - swashbuckling romance can't go wrong for me! Personally, I'd rather be rescued from the pirates, but some readers would probably prefer the sub/dom aspect of being kidnapped. Building a fan base is the key, but, unlike the claims made by sell-yo...
