Re: Katherine Mansfield's Short Stories

In my last book package I had her complete works. I just started with the stories in "In a German Pension" and I just loved it. Her portrait of the Germans is so accurate, detailed, sharp but not mean! (I read the German translation).

Re: Foodies?

I love this one. All it requires is basic ingredients with high quality (I sometimes have to smile on her insisting on a certain type of tomatoes etc.). The book helps to do everything from scratch (amazing pasta) with detailed explanations (no pictures, only drawings). My family loves the Ragu Bolo...

Re: Chapters 1 - 10 of My Name is Red

<t>I am glad that so far nobody seems to be irritated by the change of perspective - this was one of the critics I read several times in other fora. To mitigate this possible outcome, I had posted the list of characters (Suzanne, glad that it was helpful). <br/> <br/> To the ones who read the first ...

@cattleman: Congratulations!!

@Olivia: I love the pictures. The snail is so beautiful! Was wondering for a short moment if this is a model snail. *thinking aloud* are there snail castings? Is there an ANTS (American's Next Top(model) Snail?

Re: Put on your dress, cool the Champagne... it is Oscar night!

(I skipped the dress this year but did wea...
