Public Expression of Religion Act - did it just pass?!?!?

Unread post

Public Expression of Religion ActI just flipped over to C-SPAN to see the final vote on the Public Expression of Religion Act. From what I saw this Act just passed. This country is moving closer and closer to being a theocracy and I'm disgusted beyond belief.Read more here or just read what I have copied and pasted below

This is why it is dangerous for any one party to control all aspects of government: agendas can be pushed without a 'check' in sight. I do hope the Democrats take back the house and senate this year. We need balance. I would even say this if Democrats had total control.I will not read any of these links right now, because I need to get past some stress in my life at this time. I have a feeling this would push me over an edge.Mr. P. Mr. P's place. I warned you!!!The one thing of which I am positive is that there is much of which to be negative - Mr. P.The pain in hell has two sides. Infuriating!!! Last month I read an on-line article which prompted my initial fury. Democrates evenly split regarding preemptive prosecution - the favoring of prosecution based on speculative intent. Direct contradiction of their advertised positions and separation of Church and State. I have been following several threads on the topic. With the likes of Ted Kennedy supporting the Pope's lastest Islam tribulations (right or wrong) and his peers supporting preemptive prosecution versus radical Islam it may be enough to indirectly push "on the fence" American Democratics and Republicans acceptance of the PERA. I'll track my history and look for the article. It was vile to see how many Americans perferred tightened security and supported "big brother" tactics while spewing accusations at Bush for violating personal privacy acts. Disgusting!!!!

Looks like I jumped the gun. They haven't voted yet. The vote today around NOON was for the Rules and Amendments to the bill. I'll post more when I have learned how this vote swings and if can officilly declare the United States as the a theocracy.
