Precession as the Framework of Christian Origins

Unread post

My essay, Precession as the Framework of Christian Origins, available free at this link - http://rtulip.net/astronomy (4250 words), was published this year in The Christ Conspiracy: The Greatest Story Ever Sold - Revised Edition by D.M. Murdock, which I helped edit. I would welcome comment and questions about this paper here. Thank you.

I have been discussing this paper at https://www.ex-christian.net/topic/8467 ... n-origins/

A ten minute youtube video I have just made explains how precession links to Christianity, with simple visualisation of the astronomy, at https://youtu.be/NN5fIhwIS_Q

I am writing a book with the provisional title Christianity for the Age of Aquarius. An editorial consultant is helping me to prepare the book, which will draw on ideas that I have discussed here, for example in the link opening this thread on Precession as the Framework of Christian Origins.

I’d love to get your honest feedback on my book idea. The goal is to help Christian theologians understand the astronomy of the Gospel story so that they can share its message in a systematic and scientific way. What’s your gut response?

By the way, I recently preached at church on these themes, setting out the astronomy argument in a way that is aimed at Christians - text is at https://rtulip.net/blog/2021/03/08/clea ... he-temple/
