Cold ice and frozen
Sun warming sloppy muddy wet
Dirt seeds water light warmer
Grow spring grow!

distaff odyssey
Penelope, the weaver, weaver of spells;
Like the river, meandering.....
Wondering......Wandering
Through the glorious greens and singing shades
Of summer meadows....contentedly..

Glass Houses
One minute ago you were grasping
Lastly, traction
Searching
questioning
pointing
Hay, a log
Brown grass bends in the wind
So, sit
Rubbing stones
Waiting for rain
To bow

The friendly silent moon laughs at the earth. Hmmm, months were here before people and will revolve inexorable if no one there can see them.

I can be an island for a while
silently contemplative
willing myself to quiet
but soon enough whether I will it or no
A bridge will break free
silently contemplative
willing myself to quiet
but soon enough whether I will it or no
A bridge will break free

Umm... there may indeed be such a thing as a dumb question but... is this a 140character LIMIT, or a poem that must have exactly 140 characters? I'm loving the ones I see posted!

It is a limit, it would have to fit in a tweet if you were a twitter... You can have less as far as I know.

Count my characters
Or count on my character
Both Questionable
I Fear!

Re: National Poetry Month Challenge
Yes, the idea was to have a character limit of 140 and this is based on the number of characters allowed on twitter. The idea for the constest is borrowed from Michelle Martin's radio show, Tell Me More.Dawn wrote:Umm... there may indeed be such a thing as a dumb question but... is this a 140character LIMIT, or a poem that must have exactly 140 characters?
