I agree with Mary's quote:
All three of my votes are for DeWaal. I am happy to read either book. Chris, should we consider replacing the older book with the newer book on the poll? Does anyone object to this idea? Again, I am fine with either book.I have no problem with "upgrading." This newer book is a bit more academic in its presentation and I do appreciate the inclusion of some of the theoretical conflict that followed the release of Good Natured.

IMPORTANT UPDATE
Grim suggested and several people supported the idea of "upgrading" from Good Natured: The Origins of Right and Wrong in Humans and Other Animals by Frans B. M. de Waal to de Waal's more current book on the same topic, Primates and Philosophers: How Morality Evolved.
Since everyone seems in agreement that this would be a better choice let us now consider Good Natured replaced by Primates and Philosophers. All votes for Good Natured now count towards Primates and Philosophers. I'll now go back and edit this poll thread so new voters won't even see the Good Natured book choice.

After further reflection on our book choices I am starting to like the de Waal choice even more than Animals Make Us Human. So I'm hereby changing my 3 votes to Primates and Philosophers and jumping right on the bandwagon.
