I'd like to extend my hand to everyone here that has one. While on what seems a never-ending quest to unlock the riddles of the soul, it is reassuring to find such an oasis of thinkers and idea prodders. My only qualifications for a good conversation are my undying appetite for books and the many years spent at sea pouring over everything that I read. At age 25, I have finally rejoined the academic world and returned to college in pursuit of philosophy and psychology. I am a fan of the ideas of Howard Bloom and Douglas R. Hofstadter. Nothing is more relaxing than lying down with something from James Joyce or Henry Miller and drifting. This is part of my "pregnant dream" theory, which I will share later. With the introduction complete, I am off to catch up on all these interesting topics.
