It's on my calendar with a 24 hour warning and a priority "HIGH"! I wouldn't want to miss this one. My impression of Lee Harris from the book is a brilliant, insightful thinker with whom I agree on some points, am undecided on others, and violently disagree on yet others. The brilliance makes it worthwhile and the disagreement makes it interesting. Count me in! If you make yourself really small, you can externalize virtually everything. Daniel Dennett, 1984

These days I'm usually not free between 5:30 pm and 1 am, Eastern time. I'll try to look in, though - I expect it'll be lively! I promise not to bring the tar and feathers.Just joking!!!Hmmm - now that's an ambiguous statement. edit: Chris, I can't vote in the poll because the poll is either/or - and I cannot truthfully state that I will be there. Re: Do you plan to attend the Lee Harris chat?
Many people have emailed me letting me know they'll be attending. This doesn't help show the authors the interest level, so please post in this poll thread. Also, if you're one of those that posted in the above thread entitled "Lee Harris Chat," please take this poll so we see the full numbers of those that plan to attend. Thanks.Chris "For Every Winner, There Are Dozens Of Losers. Odds Are You're One Of Them"

I am ... stretched to say the least. I regret not being able to participate more here. Mainly, because of the time it would take to respond properly to the questions raised here. But, since I voted for this book, and think very highly of Mr. Harris, I will be there.

Re: Do you plan to attend the Lee Harris chat?
I'm in Tiarella's category...I am not sure if I will be there, but I will try to attend. (I voted in the attending category since there is a greater chance I will be there than not.) I am quite disappointed that I was unable to secure a copy of the book, but I have been following the discussion with much interest. I have for many years had an interest in Middle Eastern culture and language, but my lack of knowledge in history and conflict theories have prevented me from having much to add. I look forward to observing a rousing discussion next week.
